INTEGRATIVE SOMATIC COACHING

a trauma-informed approach to embodiment, processing, and personal transformation

NO SHAME, NO BLAME.

I’m not here to tell you what’s wrong.

I’m here to help you reconnect with your aliveness.

I’m here to invite your inner wisdom to speak loudly.

I’m here to facilitate an exploration of what’s possible.

Why somatic processing?

Learning to listen to the wisdom of the body, develop emotional resilience, and create embodied change.

You nervous system doesn’t want fixing. It wants you to be in relationship with it.

What can I expect?

  • Reiki moves and releases energetic blocks or emotions held in your subtle body.

Over time, it can significantly decrease your allostatic load (the cumulative burden of chronic stress and life events). It is safe, gentle, and has no contraindications.

There are a wide variety of experiences, and it can feel different each time. Some people note going into a very deep state of relaxation, while others experience sensations, visions or emotions. Clarity of thought and positive breakthroughs are often reported. Some experience relief from physical and emotional pain.

Ultimately, Reiki provides you with what’s needed most in the present moment.

  • Your session will start with a conversation about what you’ve been experiencing on a mental, physical, and spiritual level. You are invited to share any intentions for the session. Then, you’ll rest fully clothed on a massage table. I'll intuitively use tools like music, aromatherapy, crystals, and guided breathing to help ease you into a relaxed state.

I’ll lightly place my hands in various positions on or above the body - this is how the Reiki is channeled to you.

When it’s time to land, I'll gently guide you "back" and we’ll reflect on anything that came up for you during the session.

  • My approach is shaped by my certifications in Focalizing, Applied Polyvagal Theory, and neurological fitness — plus studies of Somatic Experiencing, neuroscience, and more.

  • No, I am not a licensed mental health counselor and this is is not a replacement for working with one.

I find this approach works best for people who, if needed, have established mental health support from licensed medical providers, and are now seeking body-based processing.

  • Somatic therapy takes a “bottom-up“ approach (whereas standard talk therapy is “top-down“), focused on body-based processing. In this field, we recognizing that the body holds onto trauma in ways that may be outside of our conscious awareness and that these processes determine how we cognitively relate to ourselves, others and the world around us.

Book a 3-Pack of Sessions

This medicine is experiential — our bodies and nervous systems best respond to it in a series. That way, we can build trust and comfort. New clients are invited to book an introductory 3-pack of sessions. Additional packages or one-off sessions can be accessed after completion of the first three.

It’s an honor to share this work with you!
